The Association of Visual Artists of Crete cut its New Year’s cake
The Association of Visual Artists of Crete held its General Assembly and New Year’s cake cutting on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at the hospitable Municipal Art Gallery of Malevizi.
The objective of the Association of Visual Artists of Crete, according to a relevant announcement, is to bring citizens closer to art and enhance the island’s cultural education through the organization of exhibitions, lectures, workshops, as well as significant collaborations with organizations, institutions, Municipalities, and the Region of Crete. The primary goal of the Association is to serve as a vibrant hub of activity, a creative incubator for ideas that will substantially contribute to the development and promotion of Visual Arts and Culture.
The Association’s headquarters are located in Heraklion, Crete. Visual Artists who are graduates of Fine Arts schools in Greece and abroad, or members of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece who originate from, reside in, or have close ties with Crete, as well as foreign nationals residing in Crete, are eligible to register as regular members.
