Katerina Kalitsounaki is a visual artist based in Athens, Greece. She is a graduate of the Athens School of Fine Arts (ASFA), where she developed her artistic identity with a focus on painting and printmaking.
She is a member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece (EETE) and several art collectives, as well as a founding member of the “art for earth22” and “red boat projects”. She actively participates in various artistic and scientific institutions and has presented her work in solo and group exhibitions in Greece and abroad, hosted by prominent exhibition spaces and cultural foundations.
Her artistic practice focuses on the dialectical relationship between humanity and nature, as well as on pressing social issues. Through her work, she explores themes of gender identity, female equality, environmental consciousness, sustainability, memory, and tradition.
In her visual experiments, Kalitsounaki employs thread as a line and fabric as shape and color, creating contemporary textile/fiber artworks that offer unconventional approaches to visual content. By redefining fiber as a primary medium, she restores its artistic value and identity within the contemporary art scene.
Her works are held in numerous public and private collections. Originally from Rethymno, Crete, she currently lives and works in Athens.

She was born in Cyprus in 1972. She attended drawing classes at the workshop of Nikos Stefos in Athens. She studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts in the sculpture workshop with professor Theodoros Papagiannis. She also attended the scenography and engraving workshops.
She has been involved in many types of artistic creation such as sculpture, construction, painting, design and construction of sets for theatrical performances, fabric design, construction of handmade puppets and masks, handmade jewelry and the stop-motion animation technique.She has taken part in group exhibitions in Crete (Municipal Gallery of Heraklion, M.E.T.I., Agia Aikaterini Museum, Municipal Gallery of Malevizi, Match More Gallery, Museum of Typography of Chania, House of Culture of Rethymno, etc.) and in Athens. Her works are in private collections in Greece, Cyprus and the Netherlands.Since 2016, she has been collaborating with the Center for Dance Creation and Kinetic Expression – Dancing Gogo Pandelopoulou as a set designer (sets, video projections, stop-motion animation, special constructions).In 2019, she created the ARS5 group with other artists, with which she participated in the exhibition entitled ¨Daedalia¨ at the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion.Her work ¨Mazi¨, which belongs to the University Center for Spine UMCG in Groningen, the Netherlands, was reproduced in multiple copies using the 3D printing technique and was given as an award at an international conference, which was held at the university in August 2023.Since 2023 she has been participating in the Platforms Project- Independent Art Fair with the art group Συν, which she created together with other artists from Crete and Cyprus.In October 2025 she held the solo exhibition entitled “Earth – Woman” at the Multi-Cultural Hall of the Municipal Gallery of Heraklion. Thalia Kannavou is a visual artist with studies at the Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna (Painting) and a Master’s degree from Neapolis University Paphos (Educational Management). Based in Heraklion, her work focuses on contemporary mixed media and conceptual art, and has been showcased in prominent exhibitions both in Greece and abroad.
Her practice explores multilayered materiality and organic symbolism. Through manual labor and tactile textures, she counters the digital era, inviting the viewer into a “haptic” exploration. The layering of materials and the use of script serve as vehicles for memory and cultural tradition, guiding the viewer through space-time.
Her works evolve in three dimensions, interacting dynamically with the surrounding space. Through the composition of fragments, Kannavou negotiates the construction of the self and the world, bringing the subconscious to the surface. Matter becomes the medium through which the inner core is made visible, offering a passage of communication between the creator and the viewer.

Christini Kanitsaki, daughter of Emmanouil, lives in Chania and has been active in the field of painting since 1994. She studied painting in the United Kingdom in the “Visual Arts and Culture” department at the University of Salford. She has presented her work in two solo exhibitions, in 2010 and 2021. She has also taken part in 21 group exhibitions of artists in Chania, Athens, and the United Kingdom.
She has been teaching for 26 years in Chania, working with children of all ages as well as adults. Her works are held in private collections.

“My name is Vivi-Nefeli Dinapogia. I was born in Malmö, Sweden. The clarity of northern light, unburdened by the Mediterranean glare, and the rhythmic vertical and horizontal cladding of a factory in my childhood neighborhood have profoundly shaped my visual perception of the world.
I am drawn to an experiential approach to painting—one where gesture and discovery meet the vibrant dialogue between color and line. My work explores the finality of composition and the inherent contradictions of ‘Co-existence’ within abstract, lyrical landscapes. I work primarily with oils and acrylics on canvas.
A graduate of the Athens School of Fine Arts (2012), I studied at the 1st Painting Studio under Professor Angelos Antonopoulos.
My work has been featured in various group exhibitions and is held in private collections. Today, I live and work in Rethymno, balancing my creative practice with my role as a Special Education teacher in primary education”

Maria Katsaveli was born in Heraklion, Crete, and studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples, under the guidance of G. Pierno, while continuing her studies in Bologna with C. Pozzati.
Her work moves between painting, installation art, and an exploration of materiality, focusing on memory, silence, decay, and the transformation of space. Through the use of organic or recycled materials, paper, fabric, and constructed forms, she creates visual environments that function as experiential narratives—fragile landscapes between personal and collective experience.
Since 2006, she has been a founding member of the artistic group 4Ground Art Group, which develops interdisciplinary actions and installations in both public and exhibition spaces. The group’s first joint presentation was the installation “Rooms” at Pagiopoieion, marking the beginning of a shared artistic journey based on material experimentation and the concept of spatial experience.
She has presented works and installations in solo and group exhibitions in Greece and abroad, participating in festivals, art events, and site-specific projects. Among her most important presentations are the exhibitions “Silences,” “Threshold,” “My Greece,” participation in the 8th Sardinia Biennale, as well as the installations “Origami,” “Fragments,” and “Nests.”
Despoina Katzagiannaki was born in Heraklion, Crete, Greece. She studied Fine Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, Italy, specializing in painting, and later obtained a Master’s degree in Child Psychology for Education from the University of East London. Since 2000, she has actively participated in numerous exhibitions in both Italy and Greece, including venues and events such as Centro Treni, Donne Nissa in Bolzano, Galleria Dei Marchi, art festivals in Bologna and Faenza, Art-Athina, Cheap Art, Ash in Art in Athens, the Foundation for Research and Technology in Heraklion, the Museum of School Life in Chania, Technopolis Athens, and the Platform Project at Kapnergostasio. She is a member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece and several art associations in Crete. Her work has received awards such as the Dante Campi Verdi Painting Prize in Bologna and recognition at the Biennale Leonardo da Vinci in Rome.Visually, her personal language focuses on points, drawings, and the ‘black’ line as a form of energy — graphic short circuits — deciphering human reality as portraits of emotions.”
Stella Kukulaki is a visual artist – painter who lives and works in Heraklion, Crete. She studied Painting at the Academia di Belle Arti, Florence, Italy, along with the Professor Fernando Farulli (1981-1985). In parallel she studied Graphic Arts at the Cappiello Academy. She was awarded the Angelo Badiani Scholarship in Print. She was appointed as a teacher of art in the secondary education of Greece, from 1987 to 2015. Alongside her teaching career, she curated publications for the Vikelaia Municipal Library and continues to work as a curator of exhibitions and collections, while also writing visual arts essays and curatorial documnentatios for exhibition catalogs in the context of national and international cultural projects.
Her artworks explore contemporary social reality through a human-centered perspective. It is also characterized by abstraction and the exploration of color, shape, and form, often employing unconventional materials in a dialogue of memory and identity. Barcodes and QR codes are organically integrated into her compositions, functioning as abstract symbols that encode human existence and digital reality. This journey is portrayed as a continuous process of codification, where the viewer is called upon to redefine himself, balancing between historical memory and the contemporary technological order.
This artistic career is marked by a continuous presence in the visual arts scene, with numerous solo and group exhibitions in Greece and beyond national borders. Her works have been awarded distinctions, have been included in museums, public galleries, exhibition spaces, private and public collections. Nikos V. Lelekakis is a professional iconographer and educator, born in Ierapetra, Crete. He pursued higher education at the Faculty of Theology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and further specialized in iconography at the Athens School of Fine Arts. He holds a Master’s degree in iconography, with a concentration in Byzantine Archaeology and Art, awarded by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and is currently a doctoral candidate in the same field.
He received traditional training under esteemed iconographers in both Athens and Crete, acquiring deep knowledge and mastery of the sacred art. Over a period of sixteen consecutive years, he served as an instructor of iconography at the Rizarios Ecclesiastical School, as well as in various public and private educational institutions, and in the training schools of the Metropolises of Athens and Attica.
Mr. Lelekakis is a registered member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece and of the Panhellenic Association of Iconographers. He has been professionally active in iconography since the year 2000. His works are featured in churches, public institutions, and private collections both in Greece and abroad. He participates in notable exhibitions and has received awards for his works.
Since 2016, he has resided in Crete, where he continues to teach and to undertake iconographic commissions throughout Greece and wherever the sacred art calls him. For the last 10 years and more he has been teaching at the visual arts workshop of the Municipality of Ierapetra and at the Metropolis of Ierapetra, Sitia.
