Harris Margaritis was born and raised in Iraklion, Crete. He is a visual artist, illustrator and educator.
During his youth, he moved to Athens, where he studied Scenography at the L. Stavrakos School of Cinema & Television and Illustration at the Ornerakis School of Applied Arts. He has illustrated 5 scientific books regarding the fauna of Greece and Mediterranean for the Hellenic Mediterranean University, as well as articles for the “GEO” supplement of the Eleftherotypia newspaper.
After living in the capital for fifteen years, he sat for the entrance exams and was admitted to the Department of Visual & Applied Arts in Florina (University of Western Macedonia). He chose to major in Painting, specializing in ancient figurative arts such as fresco, mosaic and Byzantine iconography. During his studies, his work has distinguished at the 8th Biennale of Fine Arts Students of Greece in Thessaloniki, the Mini Castra 16 Watercolor Biennale in Slovenia and the Watercolor Biennale 17 in Kosovo. He graduated with honors, earning a degree equivalent to an Integrated Master’s. During the same period, he served as a board member of the Amyntaio House of Letters & Art, where he was responsible for the curation and installation of art exhibitions.
Upon completing his studies, he returned to Iraklion. From his current home base, he continues to explore his artistic identity while also serving in Primary Education as an Art teacher.
Throughout his career, he has also illustrated children’s books. His work has been featured on websites, book covers, CDs and short film posters, while one of his paintings was showcased in a Greek movie. He has participated in over 40 art exhibitions in Greece and abroad, having curated 8 of them and has held 4 solo exhibitions. She was born in Athens and has family roots in Crete. Since 2019, she has been living permanently in Heraklion, Crete.
She studied Set Design and Costume Design at the VAKALO School and Political Science at the Faculty of Law, University of Athens.

Since 1981, she has worked as a set and costume designer in more than 290 productions of theatre, opera, dance, and site-specific performances.
She has collaborated with major institutions such as the National Theatre of Greece, the Greek National Opera, the Athens Concert Hall, the State Theatre of Northern Greece, Teatro Lirico “Ventidio Basso” in Ascoli (Italy), the Athens and Epidaurus Festival, the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation, municipal and regional theatres across Greece (DE.PE.THE), the Theatre of Art, among many other companies and troupes.
She also collaborates with the Cultural and Conference Center of Heraklion as a set and costume designer for opera and theatre productions.
In dance, she has worked with Chorika – Zouzou Nikoloudi, the Kalamata Dance Festival, and numerous choreographers.
She creates set designs and costumes for film and television, including period drama series.
She directs traditional Cretan folk tales.
She teaches set design and costume design at higher drama schools and other public and private institutions.
She develops municipal scenography workshops and directs European cultural and folklore programs.
She has worked as a curator for international art exhibitions at the National Museum of Contemporary Art (EMST), the Thessaloniki International Fair, municipal galleries, and other institutions.
She contributed to the founding of the Higher Drama School “Notos” in Heraklion, where she has been teaching until 2025.
She collaborates with the Municipality of Heraklion on arts and cultural programs, and with the Nikos Kazantzakis Museum, including the artistic curation of the festival “Travelling England” in Myrtia in 2018.
She has participated in solo and group exhibitions in Greece and abroad.
She has received awards for costume design in theatre, cinema, and television.
Rena Matalliotaki is a visual artist and a member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece. She has pursued independent studies in painting. She is a graduate of the Department of Physics at the University of Crete, the Pedagogical Academy of Heraklion, and the Department of Primary Education at the University of Ioannina.
In her artistic work, she has developed a multilayered practice, employing a wide range of materials and techniques such as inks, collage, and assemblage. Her work focuses on the exploration of matter, texture, and transparency, while her visual language is characterized by immediacy and expressive intensity.
She has held two solo exhibitions and has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Greece and abroad. Her works are included in public and private collections (Heraklion Museum of Visual Arts, Viannos Municipal Gallery, PADRU Sardinia, among others). For the past twenty years, she has lived and worked in Heraklion as a primary education teacher, while also being active as a trainer and facilitator of interdisciplinary and artistic projects with an emphasis on the natural sciences. Her artistic and scientific backgrounds function complementarily, shaping a unified approach where art and science inform one another. In this context, aesthetic experience and scientific interpretation are not opposed but coexist within a shared field.

Magdalena Melissourgaki Woźniak is a PhD candidate at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, the largest state arts academy in Poland, and holds a Master’s degree from the same institution, where she graduated with honors (distinction). She developed her artistic identity by completing her diploma work in the Illustration studio of Professor Błażej Ostoja Lniski, the Painting studio of Professor Henryk Gostyński, and the Drawing and Narrative studio of Professor Piotr Siwczuk, while her theoretical thesis was completed under the supervision of Art History Professor Magdalena Kucza-Kuczyńska. She is also a graduate of the Warsaw School of Fine Arts in the Department of Painting (studios of Tomasz Woźniak and Łukasz Korolkiewicz), where she also completed her theoretical studies under the guidance of the same professor.
As a truly multidimensional visual artist, her extensive work extends from traditional painting and sculpture to printmaking, focusing on contemporary conceptual art and complex multimedia installations. A pivotal point of her creative practice is the dedicated creation of short art films and animation, through which she deeply explores movement, time, and sophisticated visual narrative. The strategic use of moving images allows her to lend a powerful new dynamic to her works, transforming static forms into immersive, living experiences. Her practice constitutes a perpetual dialogue between classical techniques and modern digital forms, allowing for a continuous and systematic deconstruction of reality.
Her work has been presented internationally, from New York and Miami to Rome, Venice, London, and Berlin. She actively participates in international publications and specialized art books, while her work has been featured in prestigious foreign magazines. She is a member of the Association of Polish Art Artists (ZPAP), organizes exhibitions, and promotes cultural exchanges within the European space. Her art, which now organically incorporates animation and film, transforms space into an experiential field for critically exploring social issues and the human condition. Her works grace public and private collections, and she lives and creates in Heraklion, Crete today.

Eve Michelaki is an interdisciplinary artist based in Greece, working across sculpture, installation, environmental art, and printmaking. Her practice explores the intersections of art, technology, and society, drawing on scientific and historical research as well as contemporary issues and conflicts. She holds a medical degree from the University of Patras, a BA(Hons) in Fine Arts from Sheffield Hallam University, and an MA(O) in Art History.
Her work has been exhibited in Greece and internationally, with pieces held in private collections and public spaces in both Greece and the UK. She has also participated as a collaborating artist in neuroscience research projects.
In 2009, she co-founded LATHOS with Christos Christodoulopoulos, an interdisciplinary art group exploring art’s intersection with social and environmental issues. Their ongoing project — a self-sustaining, open-source residence/art centre in Crete — functions as a living laboratory for sustainable living, and has been featured on television, at TEDx, and in scientific publications.

Moraiti Fotini is a visual artist from Heraklion. She graduated from the Higher School of Fine Arts of Tinos Marble Crafts and from there with a scholarship to the Higher School of Fine Arts of Athens. Graduated with distinction with an integrated master’s degree from the Athens School of Fine Arts, Sculpture department with professor Th.Papagiannis. At the same time, she attended the mosaic workshop with professor D. Angelidou. During the same period, she also completed the Stained Glass workshop with professor Ms. Lea Rousopoulou at the Hellenic American Educational Foundation, N.Psychiko. She is a member of the Association of Educational Artistic Courses and the artistic group Art for Erth 22, which carries out actions aimed at environmental awareness and the awakening of ecological consciousness through art. She has done many voluntary actions in the schools she has worked in, aiming at social awareness for the environment and vulnerable social groups. She has completed and presented at conferences dozens of cultural, environmental and health education programs within the framework of public education cultural programs with writing and visual work.
Her artistic work focuses on environmental and social issues using mainly recyclable materials.

Kostas Pagomenos studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Charleroi, Belgium (1976–1980), under the guidance of Charles Sczymkowicz. Since 1992, he has focused primarily on sculpture and constructions, developing a multidimensional artistic practice. He is an active member of major artistic organizations in Greece and abroad, including the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece and the Association of Greek Sculptors.
He has held numerous solo exhibitions, mainly centered on sculpture, from 1996 to the present. Among his most recent exhibitions are “Ideal Voices” (2024) and “Games in Nature” (2025). In parallel, he has participated in a large number of group exhibitions in Greece and internationally, presenting his work in museums, galleries, and major art events, contributing actively to the contemporary art scene.
His works are included in significant public and private collections, such as the Heraklion Museum of Visual Arts and the Museum of Contemporary Art of Chania, as well as municipal galleries. He has also realized numerous public artworks, including busts of historical figures, sculptural compositions, and artistic installations in various locations across Crete. Notably, he has maintained long-term collaborations with the Natural History Museum of Crete and the Cretaquarium, contributing with constructions, exhibition design, and artistic interventions.
In addition, he has been active in theatre, designing stage sets for important productions, and has taught art for many years. In 2016, he was awarded third prize in the international sculpture competition organized by V&P Tassis.
Since 1996, he has run his private art studio “Philotechno” in Heraklion. He has also curated exhibitions, participated in international symposia, and undertaken artistic initiatives, contributing significantly to the promotion of contemporary Greek art.

Visual artist and set designer of Cretan origin, born in Canberra, Australia in 1979. She lives and creates in Crete, where the light and landscape serve as constant sources of inspiration.
She studied painting at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Lecce, Italy, graduating with honours. In 2007, her printmaking work was recognised as one of the most significant of the Academy’s last 80 years. Her artistic path was further enriched through studies in photography and participation in exhibitions and research programmes in Italy.
Her work spans painting and printmaking to set design, stage installation, and visual interventions in public and private spaces. For over twenty years she lived and worked in Athens, where she developed the greater part of her professional career, contributing to major television and theatre productions. This experience shaped a multi-layered artistic vision, translating her painterly language into three-dimensional space. She has also completed large-scale works and murals in dining and entertainment venues in Athens, and her works are held in private collections.
Her work has been shown in group exhibitions in Greece and abroad, while her solo exhibition “Unbloomed Souls” revealed a more introspective, expressionistic direction in her practice. She also participated in the group exhibition of the Visual Artists Association of Crete at Gargaro Gallery in Rethymno.
In recent years she has returned to Crete, reconnecting her contemporary visual practice with her place of origin. Her artistic language is grounded in gesture, fluidity, and the intensity of colour, seeking a direct, almost physical relationship with the work. She is also active in education, maintaining a vibrant commitment to the transmission of art.

Antonis Pavlakis was born in 1949 in Stalos, Chania. He studied in the Sculpture workshop of Professor Yiannis Pappas, theory with Pantelis Prevelakis, scenography and decoration at the Athens School of Fine Arts, from 1971-1976. For 35 years he taught Art in secondary schools in Chania. His sculptural activity is extensive throughout Crete, with monuments in public spaces and other artistic works in residences and hotels. With his Art, he has frequently participated in group exhibitions in Crete and Athens since 1976.
He usually studies with his sculpture units that concern our daily life, nature and its creatures.
Nektarios Pachiadakis graduatedwith distinctionfrom the School of Fine Arts at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, specializing in painting. He also holds a Master’s degree ty in Audiovisual Arts and Arts in the Digital Age, from the Ionian University, which he completed with distinction. He has received an Excellence Award from the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY), as well as an award from the Museum of the Macedonian Struggle, where his work has been included in the museum’s permanent collection.
In 2025, he represented Greece at the 10th Beijing International Biennale with his work “Living Stone – Moni Kapsa.” He has held four solo exhibitions and has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Greece and abroad. His works are included in private and public collections in Greece and internationally.
His research focuses on the creation of artworks inspired to stone, rocks, nature, tradition, culture, and the psychogeography of Crete. He creates visual works centered on rocky landscapes, trees, and biomorphic elements of nature, closely examining “zooming in” on – their structure and materiality. He also produces abstract works using mixed media—paper, glue, and paint—forming fragments that generate a new field for exploration and the rendering of the pictorial surface.
These images function as snapshots of both collective and personal memory: social tensions, everyday gestures, urban environments, and inner states. The work resembles an archive of fragmented experiences—a field where the personal, the political, and the imaginary intersect. The viewer does not “read” a single narrative but rather wanders among multiple centers of meaning; much like the way memory itself moves and unfolds. Alongside tis practice, he has developed digital and interactive works (installations), performances (performing art) in nature, and digital poetry.

He studied Architecture and Interior Design, as well as Graphic Arts at AKTO. He also studied Art History at the University of Athens (Κ.Ε.ΔΙ.ΒΙ.Μ.). In 1990, he attended for two years the ScuolaInternazionaleIncisori in Rome, specializing in printmaking. He is a member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece.
His works are included in important public collections such as the Municipal Gallery of Athens, the Municipal Gallery of Heraklion, the Keratokampos Art Gallery “Savvas Petrakis”, the Museum of Visual Arts of Heraklion and the Museum of Contemporary Art of Chania – Olivepress, as well as in private collections. He lives and works in Heraklion, Crete.
Graphic Arts He has been active in the field of graphic arts since 1975. In 1979, he founded a screen-printing workshop in Crete, which he maintained until 1990, working in both commercial screen printing (stickers, T-shirts, fabrics, souvenirs, panels, etc.) and artistic screen printing (works of art). He has worked on design and layouts for catalogues, posters, book covers, etc.
In 1999, he worked at Crete University Press. From 2006 to 2008, he served as a lecturer on color, aesthetics and interior architecture.
For the exhibition of Thomas Fanourakis (2026, Basilica of Saint MarkHeraklion, Crete), he carried out the architectural and lighting design study, supervised the construction, and designed the catalogue, poster and banner.

Kessanli’s workshop and then she studied for her second degree in the field of Sculpture at G. Lappa’s workshop.
She teaches Fine Arts in the public sector.
